I use both, prefer Firefox, chris pedricks 'user agent switcher' extension for Firefox is the deciding factor on which is my favorite.
In technqiues, Firefox is better than IE. But Firefox makes problem for website owners: for those site before firefox, maybe launched in firefox will look worse than in IE.
I was planning to install that later on. Thanks for reminding me. Hopefully it'll be flexible enough to replace the dedicated program I have for FTP right now.
I use both FF and IE because they both have strengths and weaknesses. If I will need to use the "find" function then I always go to FF. IE seems to constantly mess up with that function. How can you find anything when the function is not reliable? Looks like this thread is going to live forever.
I use Opera, Firefox, and IE. I like Opera more but sometimes lack in certain things. Among FF and IE, I would say Firefox is a little better.
IE like a standart - it's the most usable browser - so there is a sense to use IE features in you projects. But I use 3rd party browsers based on IE - don't really like default IE. FF provides good features for web-developers, because has some useful plugins like to show blocks, hide unhide images, and others. Opera - just fast browser - I like it and use it, though it don't supports all sites, for example gtalk under gmail is not working.
I am using FireFox and all I know is that you get amazing plug-ins. I don't have anything against microsoft but FireFox is just doing it for me. I do however, when adding to my recommends folder, use IE to quickly ftp it. As I have had the experience that a site doen't load in FireFox as it is suppose to, I do not forget about Internet Explorer's capabilities. Maybe it is the fox in FireFox, but it seems that about 80% of all users of this forum, has a crush on it. Can anyone tell me what the web developer plugin does? I don't have any plugins running as I am working on a new computer. Any "can't live without" plugins you would install a second, third and fourth time when moving to a new computer.
i've just started dabbling with css for the past year and i have to say that ie is very much more forgiving than ff. so 1 vote for ie from me...
I can't imagine using anything but FF. I haven't used IE in forever (used Safari before I switched to FF), but all the extensions FF offers make life so much easier (not to mention tabs and live feeds).
Its been quite a while since I have checked any new plugins for FF, does anyone know of any special GreaseMoney spin off's? I would like to have some that automates my tast of Myspace friends addition
