I like Firefox better, but because Explorer is still so popular, there are systems that only work with Explorer. The MLS I belong to is an example of that. There is a relatively new online newspaper in Austin called the Austin Post that is optimized only for Firefox, not for Explorer. What does that tell you?

Firefox is far more superior than Internet Explorer. Firefox is faster, safer, easier to use than IE. I stopped using IE ever since i got my hands on Firefox..

I'll have to re-read that but, after a quick scan, I don't see anywhere that that is shown. Also, that report is from almost two years ago and interpreted by an "official" Windows magazine (a Microsoft company?). If you want to see real, uninterpreted statistics about vulnerabilities, where IE is shown to be at least 10x more vulnerable, see my second link below.

I've been using Firefox for a really long time and have got NO desire to switch to IE.
Firefox can be configured and adjusted to your needs owing to its multiple plugins.

We used both and I find Firefox much better than IE.

I've been using Firefox for 3 years. From my own experience, Firefox does take more memory than IE, but it's safer and it never crashed.

IE can be a virus carrier. Firefox is not. Firefox doesn't secretly save all your browsing data including your passwords in a file called index.dat file which you can't delete. Firefox's 'Clear Private Data' option is straight forward.

An important advantage with IE is that it displays ASP pages (pages that end with the file name extension .asp or .aspx) properly. Other browsers don't. But that's Microsoft's intention. You may want to use IE in certain situations, for which you use the Firefox extension "IETab" which shows web pages in IE, but in a tab inside Firefox.

Opera is a great browser, too, but I don't know why it can't handle Gmail!
