Firefox, this forum, and passwords

I'm using the latest version of FireFox with Saved Paswords enabled. Whenever I get to this forum, it remembers my user name, but I have to type in the password each time. Any ideas?

Maybe you've accidently clicked the option "never save password for this website"

I use Firefox, but don't have the save password option turned on for this site. I just use the cookie from forums.digitalpoint.com and that remembers me.

Do you not want to do that?

I'm using Firefox 1.0PR and just closed / killed the program, then came back to this forum after opening it again.

I'm still logged in so I assume it automatically logged me through saved password + cookies.

Have you altered many privacy settings since you've been using Firefox?

That may be a VBulletin feature where they use javascript to deny auto fill to password fields. Like a security feature. ;)

No - I get the question "Would you like to save password etc....." whenever I join a new forum... VB included. Even if you had once entered the wrong password, Firefox would say "Would you like to change the stored password for this site" or something along those lines...

There is a difference between firefox remembering something and a form accepting an auto fill feature. IF (and i don't even know if it's true) if a form didn't allow any kind of auto fill, firefox would still remember the password and try to put it in, but the form rejected it, it'd leave a blank password area. Form password field wins. It's just an idea. :)
