Firefox Referral?

    I'm an old AdSense publisher and I remember the firefox $1/ conversion referral button being under the "Referrals" category. I have now tried looking for it after seeing about 80% of my visitors use IE and there's nowhere to be found ?

    Where on earth did they move it to?

    Adsense Setup > Referrals > First line is "Google products" click "View products" > Second to last is "Firefox plus Google Toolbar"

    It's still in the referrals section. It's under "google products".

    It depends on where the user is located on how much you'll get paid. Some traffic only gets 10cents/referral.

    I think this applies to AdSense for Content and Search, but not referrals. There is a fixed commission of $1 for a Firefox + Google toolbar referral.

    Not true. It depends on the traffic.

    Some quick links I dug up:

    I have seen .10, .25, .50 and 1.00 conversions for the Firefox referrals. From my understanding it depends on what country the user is in.

    It's better to go for Google Pack referral, because the max is $2 per install (doesn't depend on which software are selected, only about country IP) and Firefox is available within the Google Pack
    but of course the Google Pack is a bit harder to install than the Firefox stand alone.
    So your Conversion rate will be lower with Google Pack, but not half as bad, so it can still be a better deal, depending on the technicality of your audience.

    But you can also advertize both, so you can market it as :
    Firefox and several other COOL and FREE software -> Google Pack referal
    OR
    Firefox only -> Firefox referal

    Absolutely true. Thats what I do. I earned $2.20 from 2 conversions yesterday. People think that nobody downloads referrals, but it needs marketing. If it is marketed correctly without breaking the adsense tos, you can earn much better than that from clicks.

    Only for vistors from US and UK, I guess. Your actual earning can be anything between $0.10 to $1.00 depending on the geographic location of the user installing firefox.
