The guy who coded PR Googlebar for mozilla is moving servers so I can't get a look at the documentation, but the PageRank Status tool for mozilla/FireFox works find for me. It's also a lot less screen real estate than the Googlebar - since firefox has the built in google search already, I don't use the googlebar. The only things I would use from the googlebar if I had it would be the backlink checker / releted etc, but I use Shawn's Back Link Tracker for backlinks.
If all you want is page rank, don't get googlebar. there is another small plugin on there that just does pr and still works for me.
You sure they changed it? It seems to be working for me still. Or are they allowing both the old and the new now?
Everything I've read says that Google is still accepting both checksums ... I'm sure PR Weaver will let us know when the old one now longer works - yea, a lotta tools will need to be updated, but hopefully they'll start that process now.
Yes Shawn, I'm sure that they changed their algorithm. But the old checksum still gives a PR (actually it is still the old PR not updated since june)
According to the Mozilla site, some of the extensions will not work on FireFox 1.0 Preview Release. I do think I read somewhere that the Googlebar extension as well as the PR meter will have to be updated. Some other extensions are not functioning as well -- do not have any more info than that.
Every release has issues with extensions and themes. That's the same for about anything. Once extension builders get ahold of it they'll get them updated in a few days. Hopefully.
Thanks to this, I can now tell you this page has a n/a rank. Is there a way to move the PR bar to the top of firefox in the toolbar section? I didn't see it to add to a custom toolbar.
THANK YOU... I had to finally download google toolbar to quickly check pr. now i can finally uninstall it. well done.
