I use the fox. I also think it's a little easier with tabs than IE

    I tend to agree.
granted, I did not have IE7 installed for very long, but I just felt that the layout/feel was awfully clunky

You can customize the layout to your heart's content. It took me about a week to get things the way I like them... now, it loads fast, runs fast, and doesn't crash, unlike Firefox.

Obviously Firefox, no other browser offers such a huge list of useful plugins/add-ons.

Have you even looked at the IE7 plugins/add-ons? Are you even aware they exist?

How about Opera, i guess that its the faster one around...

ff, just sucks at speed and my systems tends to hang if i open too many tab windows

I like Opera too, but it is a bit quirky in how it renders some HTML features.

That's been my experience too since about version 0.8 or whatever. Yet it seems to work just fine for my son on a different computer (same ISP and conmnection speeds). I've never been able to figure out why the difference...

Yeah, but most of them are commercial, but in case of firefox, the addons are free.

IE7 doesn't offer adblock and flashblock till now, neither opera, which are the most essential plugins for me.

Only plus point for IE7 - its a bit faster than Firefox2.0, otherwise it sucks.

    Hello everyone,

I've heard good things about FireFox, but have never used it. I've strictly used Internet Explorer since I've graduated from college. At college, we had Netscape Navigator, which wasn't bad, but it took some getting used to, although that was back in the early days of the Internet (1996-2000.)

I did use AOL briefly too, but that was very awkward, especially with the distortion of graphics and such. Why people pay that much for AOL is beyond me - I guess for beginners to the Internet, it's okay, but for those who have decent knowledge of how to surf the Internet, I think any of the other browsers are better, and it's cheaper to use with your dial-up (or now) your high-speed connection.

    Just my opinion. :)

Take care and have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Joe Chengery III

I've used FF for the most part.

Installed IE 7 and had too much trouble with it so went back to IE6.

really, 3 different ones? I suppose at times I use the same 3 but not all the time for specific purposes such as you have listed :)

    Hello everyone,

timsdd - it's definitely a small world, lol! I think many colleges like to go with Netscape for whatever reason, or at least they did when I was in college. Personally, I prefer IE's layout; I can deal with Netscape (though I'd probably have to get all used to it again because it's been 7 years since I last used it, and it's likely changed since the version I used in 2000,) but IE works well for me.

Nima - I've heard many reports about IE 7 having many bugs in it; that's why I usually wait at least 9-12 months before installing a new IE, just to make sure they get all the bugs out of it. That's why my laptop still has IE 6 on it as well. :)

insensible87 - I'm not sure I've heard of someone using 3 browsers - that's cool the way you have the three of them set up for those specific tasks!

Take care everyone and have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Joe Chengery III

Same here. IE7 for browsing. Firefox and Opera for checking pages after designing them for IE.

So what do you like more about IE7 that you don't like about FF? I love FF and I wouldn't ever use anything else for browser. The extensions it provides me is amazing and gives me so much flexibility to do my job.

IE7 changed their menu and everything and I Really don't like the feel of it anymore...I only have it for testing.
