The biggest complication of Firefox myths. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/FirefoxMyths.html I'm still reading...
Pretty old, but great resource none the less. It's always annoying when people recommend Firefox because of security when in fact it's just as vulnerable as the rest. Of course all the other myths are interesting as well
Wow I never realized that firefox is just as vunerable because I hear a lot of talk from techies that firefox is very secure.
Well, the reality is that Firefox is more secure because it is more obscure. The truth is that malware writers simply don't waste time on Firefox very much, because it has a low market share. It's the same reason why there aren't very many Mac OS X viruses, there's just not enough users to exploit. Targeting Windows users running Internet Explorer makes more sense, since they are the largest target.
I love FireFox however recently it has been causing me some issues but I do not like IE which has made me begin to look for a new solution. Thanks for that link it made me realize a few things very good site FF has been causing me great issues lately since it decides to start shutting itself down all the time and then wont open again. This only started to happen once I had updated FF to the latest version. I have heard of another good browser called opera so am probably going to test that out next.
