Don't get me wrong, I love FireFox however, IE serves many purposes FF can't fill. For example, there are many asp.net related sites that render very poorly in FF. Also, when exporting structured data from your browser to Excel, FF totally craps out on it whilst IE exports it nicely.

Just understand, IE is standard issue in the Enterprise where they already have virus and malware protections at the network layer so their motivation for security related updates has probably been lazy at Microsoft.

I find that all Microsoft products now are getting big and bulky, but don't really add much.

I still use IE7 since it seems to be more compatible with sites, but I like to use FF because it is smaller and seems to be faster at times.

FF users are are usually passionate about the browser, while IE users can take it or leave it.

I doubt MS did that on purpose. It's probably a programming error or the spyware definitions needed an update ;)

Well that is another reason why you should not trust a scanner from MS ;) If you are going to scan your PC for spyware then use a 3rd party trusted application and not some crap that MS bring out to try and squash competitors.

    Great Point!

Microsoft has done this for years and they never learn. IE4 had bookmarks that if you tried to delete a warning said the system might break. If I was Mozilla I would sue then for a ton of money and bring up the antitrust argument.

This also shows how insecure Microsoft is about its products or its fear of losing power. Maybe both.

If it helps people from becoming Firefox fanboys, I'm glad it's shown as a threat. People should be using Opera, anyway.

I use both of those and while the fox is good for developing it is slow as snails, has far too many useless add ons. But IE is IE it was and is crappola. Opera has no compliance. Now if we could put all their good sides into one huge super slow, virus infested thing....

    HAHA!
That's the funniest thing I've ever seen!
Microsoft just wants to get rid of the competition, Mozilla should really sue Microsoft for it. :D
