FireFox Display Problem ....

Hi ... using FireFox version 2.0.0.11, with XP Pro: displays solid colour, where ads should be. If you check this url the ad, in the middle column, about 1/3 way down, displays as solid red.

Does this on every site, except New York "Times." Go figure, aye. CJ is one, big solid colour block. Ugh!

I tried everything I could think of and nada.

I know I should know how to fix this annoyance, but cut me some slack, I just spent a small fortune to to recover from Vista. My mind isn't working, if it ever did.

Thanks for your advice and patience.

    Looks fine for me,

Are you sure your screen settings and your video cards are configured right?

Hi ... thanks for quick replies. Java definitely on, and I ran the video card set up and customization. Nada. It still comes up as red on my FireFox. Ugh!

Maybe not FireFox. Just tried IE7, with same results.

What, on the video, would I be looking to change?

    Thanks.

Hi ... ZeroC ... no ad blocker on, far as I can tell, in any of the browsers or video card. Ugh x 10. Thanks.

To change the subject, for a moment, can your hosting service house a working mysql db of about 600 megs? Please let me know, am looking and I like your site. Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem on the hosting. What extensions if any have you installed? Also what version of FF?

Hi ... thanks for the advice and ideas. This was a weird problem.

As my system had just been rebuilt, after a destructive episode, with Vista, I started at the beginning, with the re-builder and ended up, with Bell Canada, my dsl provider.

As luck would have it, the support tech, with whom I talked, had experienced exactly the same problem. The fact all the graphics were going red, told the tale.

Five layers deep, in the security manager, was a button to turn off or on graphics. If off was chosen, a colour was requested and red is the default. One second and problem solved.

    Who woulda known?

    Hope this tale helps another.

    Thanks, again.
