    Firefox blocks ads.
    Many people use Firefox
Unless a Firefox user manually accepts a site then they will not see ads.

My Firefox blocks most pop ups and pop unders if that is what you are talking about. But even when I used IE I had pop ups blocked with a programme, anyone can block pop ups, it's nothing new

they have an extention on firefox that blocks ads. I told one of my friends to check my site out yesteray and he said:

    "haha you have ads huh?"

    yep, I sure do

    "my firefox extention blocks them"

    Ahh

I didn't ask what extention he had but I didn't care really, I assume most people aren't bothered that much by ads that they will block them. And chances are those people wouldn't have clicked on the ads anyways so its not a huge loss.

The sort of people who make the effort to block ads are the same people who don't generally click on any ads. So, they are actually doing you (the publisher) a favour by cutting your impressions (but not your clicks), and therefore increasing your CTR.

I thought that at first too. It is also true (but IMO just partly).

But when you see interested ad, you probably click on it, although you aren't ad clicker (if you block them, you can see interested ad and you can't click).

Its proably that I have Adblock extension installed.
IF nobody installs that then Adsense ads will probably be shown.
    Never tried it without Adblock.
My ads are definitely being blocked.

What's that easychairmillionaire website all about. Looks as dodgy as hell to me. Make a million dollars a year on the internet without a website. Hmmm.

With the explosion of web sites using AJAX that isn't going to be an option for long.

I think the default setting of FF allows ads like adsense to be shown. Its up to the user to choose whether to block ads from showing.

This is the Firefox extension that blocks ads:
    AdBlock - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/

And yes Firefox blocks pop-ups by default. As for disabling JavaScript, to each their own. That'd just mean crippling a lot of AJAX sites out there that are actually useful.

As a publisher, you can't stop ppl from not viewing ads or from installing the extension. They won't click on ads even if they can see it. They are a lost cause. I'd concentrate on the usual ad optimisation techniques and getting traffic.

You are correct a lot of people are mean
They see adsense ads and say in their head I am not going to give that person money by clicking and also affiliate ads people that KNOW people get money for affiliate ads deliberately clean their cookies or and go to the main website to buy so the affiliate does not get the commission
What a sad world this is
I am glad members her are helpful to each other
