Firefox Blocking ads, even though it isn't set to

Have recently been using the firefox browser (for a few weeks), and my sites adsense ads still showed up as per usual. Suddenly tonight, although I haven't downloaded an ad blocking exstention, it started blocking the ads.

Any advice on what has happened? I thought you had to download an extension to cause this to happen...

    no

it is really strange, because I haven't altered any settings, or downloaded any programs recently (except the free version of google earth)... the only extension I have downloaded is the adsense notifier, and that was a few weeks ago

Is javascript enabled on your browser? Most ads are javascript.

I see the Javascript Console under Tools.

So I guess it is enabled...?

Are you sure that the page you are viewing has relevant ads to show? Sometimes ads won't show up if there are no relevant ads to begin with.

    Hi keyz,

the ads are there in IE, so that is no problem. It's just firefox that is causing the hassle.

    Thanks for the help guys,

    I have fixed the problem.

I went into "tools" and clicked "Clear Private Data", and the ads are now appearing again.

No idea what the issue was, and that was just a lucky guess!

    Best,

    Darren.

First time I've heard someone complain that they can't see ads. ;)

Mind you, this IS DP. :p
