I have a massive gap between the amount of clicks on the download link and the amount of actual conversions. Question is , What happens to them after they click ? Do they just cancel the download ? I know for sure that the only clickers are MSIE windows users (I simple don't show the link to users of any other browser), so if these people would actually download and run, it will count. Anyone else has seen such a problematic pattern ? A big gap between clickers and conversions ?
I am the Firefox Referral king, and i have the same issue, very low conversion rate. There are many reasons: the visitor must click, download, install, and RUN FF for the conversion the visitor must have never had FF installed on the PC before the visitor must be in one of the supported countries or you will get no conversion or only a partial $ conversion There is probably a few more that i'm not remembering because it's early and i just woke up. You need many thousands of visitors and many hundreds of FF clicks to get any decent earnings. That being said, @$1 each it's a great way to generate earnings if your visitors are coming to your site for things like Firefox. If your site is totally unrelated to web-browsers, security, technology, etc then it's a hard sell.
Thanks I am never expecting a high amount of clicks (in terms of %), but the gap between clicks and conversions after the click is quite annoying. Actually I've thought of a very nice way to push Firefix referrals on even unrelated sites, but the gap always seems too big to be normal
