Fire!

So I looked outside my door and there's a HUGE fire going on right down my street.
Helicopters, fire trucks, media, etc. are all there.
Everyone is standing out on the streets, watching it(we don't get much exciting things going on in my part of town).
It's pretty crazy. All I see is black smoke and yellow helicopters.
If the wind decides to turn, it'll be headed my way. Lucky thing my house is fire proof.

Ouch; is everything under control now? Do keep us updated Jerlene, and remember - no material object is as important as your life! If the situation becomes any riskier, evacuate without a second thought and temporarily go to someplace safer.

Yes, I had that happen a few times. Last time the next door wooded area caught on fire and burn their house badly. Lucky fireman put it out before it reach my house. Sweating bullets at the time, I could see the fire coming straight for my house. Yikes I think i would had been homeless or sleeping in a tent for awhile. Anyways, glad your house is doing great.

How the hell is your house fireproof?
Any house with electricity, wood, or gas is vulnerable to a fire!

And where da pics at!! This thread is useless without pics!!

I really don't need to. My house is fire proof.
It's down my street and blowing the other way so no.
It's not made of wood, it's made of some other material which is why we live here.
    Still on my mom's phone.
How so? It's not unbelievable. Fires happen all the time, especially in Hawaii(where I'm from).

I don't know. My name isn't on the bills so I don't concern myself with stuff like that. All I know is that if there's a fire, my house won't burn down.

there was a fire down the street from me several years ago, fire trucks, people etc all around watching. the fire was so hot the house next door caught on fire.

its been my experience there is no such thing as a fire proof house, whoever told you that is wrong. the shell may remain, but i guarantee the guts will burn right out.

    you got renters insurance?

My realtor and appraiser told me on more than one occasion it's a fire proof house.
Of course the possessions inside will burn, if the fire gets inside, but the outside won't.
