Hi all Im the author of Limbo CMS ( A small fast CMS based on Mambo/Joomla ). Im planning our next big release v1.0.5, most things are done but now i need advice on SEO. The idea is to make a normal guy have a XHTML valid and SEO optimized site with minimal effort/no effort. Here is what i know, plan and have queries about Human readables URLs / SEF urls / URL aliasing : which are better directory ( {site}/contact/ ) or extension ( {site}/contact.html ) based. Automated keyword suggestions for title / meta / content etc : Using ajax provide on the fly keyword suggestions for inclusion in content while content creation. Any webservices you know which i can use to provide this feature. Sitemaps / Automated submission : Automated pinging of Google on new content creation . Any other ideas you might recommend. Standards ( XHTML / 508 etc ) : Right now support for tables and xhtml templates both. Is it better is titles are in h2 / h3 tags ?. Tags / Trackbacks : Do these help in better ranking ?. Thats all i know right now and would like to request any comments and suggestions. You can check the current release at http://www.limbo-cms.com . Vikas Patial PS: Any SEO expert wanting to join the team as advisor is most welcome.
I've visited your site. Looks great but no sef urls as I expected when I tried demo. In my opinion, all Mambo/Joomla/Limbo are the good one but Drupal can handle sef urls better for now. I hope to see Limbo does like that too. Good luck with your cms Cheers, Sxperm
