I would suggest C# .NET technology.

I already have developed bio-matrix solutions for several companies. Althouh am new here, but not new to programming.

If you require my help, in developing entire software and/or the recogition part, let me know. Alongwith that, also let me know the device specification you are using to capture the finger-prints.

    regards

Finger print recognition software is widely used by law enforcement communities and agencies. In other words this software is already available.

At first, when you choose language in which your next project will be written, you must decide:
Which programming language you best know.
Is that language make enough fast executable and is demand for resources acceptable for destination system.
Can I reach easily all needed resources (hardware, system...)

(generally)It's not same if you must extract features from 200x100 image or 2000x1000 image. How big is database and what database is used. And many many other questions which are project dependable.

If you asking me C++ makes good compromise for demanding apps, but C# is enough for less demanding apps and faster developing.

Fingerprint isn't 100% secure, no one identification/authentication isn't 100% secure, but use of 2 or more methods makes really hard to break.
