Have you guys any tips on how I might find longtail keywords to target on my site, spelling mistakes etc.

I've tried using overture but I keep getting all the usuals...whats the secret?

Today I registered on Wordtracker for a week (~£15).

It's really really good, but there were a few phrases I found using the Adwords keyword tool that wordtracker didn't pick up.

I want to say it's Wordtracker (maybe a different service), that you can pay for one day on a Friday and use it until Monday. Apparently they go by business days.

I think it was Wordtracker...I could be wrong.

are these much better than adwords keyword tool or overture?

I have been using a free tool, http://www.goodkeywords.com/, this works pretty well also.

Or would you guys say it is worth the investment for wordtracker etc

    Hi tomred,

There is a free wonderful tool online and I don't know why people don't use it, maybe most people don't know it.

    Check it out

I personally use Google Adwords's keyword finder, which is already posted.

Also I find new longtail keywords by having my visitors do the work for me...that is, new lontail keywords show up in my stats all the time when visitors use those keywords to find my site.

To follow on from what ez-online-money has said - HitTail.com is a nice tool to highlight the longtails that have brought visitors to you in the past, and are worth 'polishing up' to make work for you.
