Finding the damn merchant id

Hey there, I'm trying to use the following method to go directly from my sales page to the clickbank checkout:

    http://www.clicknewz.com/259/clickbank-links/

    Basically by doing this:

    clickbank.net/sell.cgi?YOURID_MERCHANTID/ProductNumber/ProductName

The merchant is using some kind of cloaked form script (where he squeezes names and emails before going to checkout) so I can't get the original url to the storefront. All I get is this (names, numbers altered):

    https://ssl.clickbank.net/checkout/?time=3636363636&vvvv=3636363636363636&item=007&titl=some%20product%20name&vvar=detail%3Dsome%20product%20name%26&name=&emal=&ctry=0&zipc=&

Where the hell is the merchant id? Is there anywhere else I can find it? This is one of those situations where I absolutely need to get as far away from his sales pages as possible and use my own copy. I'm kind of a newb to Clickbank so maybe I'm missing something. What about Affiliate Cloner? Would that help? Thanks a lot.

Well, I do know that in order to do this, you are supposed to get the permission of the merchant.

In asking the permission of the merchant, you should probably also ask for their merchant id.

Another great way to find the merchant id is to actually do a search for the product name in the ClickBank Marketplace. Then, just click on "Create hoplink", type in your id and it will come up with a link including your id and their merchant id, and voila!

    Hope that helps.
