I had posted earlier in the week that I was hiring military bloggers and the response initially was good. Got three responses and it really didn't go anywhere. I think it's because of the way I either presented the opportunity or wrong place to ask. So my question is I need to find about 50 full time military writers. I am not looking for people who like to write about military, I want the ones that have it in their blood. I find that bloggers who are writing about what they know bring better content. I just can't find places to get specific types of bloggers (good idea for someone who wants to create a website that people like me can go in and just hire). So if you were me needing seriously good bloggers that are military, where would you go to find them? I am wearing out Google trying to let's see if DP has good advice... Adam
If I were you, I'd probably do the traditional stuff --- contact the leaders of groups/associations composed of ex or current military personnel (like the United States Military Veterans Parade Association) or even support groups composed of army men's wives.
There must be multiple military forums that you could explore. Also, go to http://blogsearch.google.com and plug in the appropriate keywords. Good luck.
I would look at forums that cater or are for the military, or those that will be or are in the military, and join those.
Have you tried Elance? What area of the military are you looking for? I know a writer who used to be in the US air force. He had to leave for medical reasons. If you are interested let me know and I can put you in touch with him.
