Finding Relevant Keywords to Your Theme?

I am having trouble finding relevant keywords related to my theme.

I remember seeing a tool long ago which allowed you to put in your main keyword, then it would show you relevant keywords that did not include the main keyword in the anchor. It had kind of like a spiderweb effect to it. Can anyone name this tool?

I have heard building links like these will make your link development look more natural. Lately, I have only been building links which have my main keyword in it, so the link profile looks very unnatural. I think I am feeling the effects of this in my rankings and traffic.

I use Googles Keyword Tool and it works great. You can have it use "synonyms" and it will tell you what synonyms to use and how much they've been searched. It works well.

    Ahh! Nice, thanks for that.

I have also been using Google Sets, it works well for coming up with related theme topics.

If anyone else has any more tools that would help in finding relevant theme related keywords, please share them.

A technique that not many use is simply to put the main keyword into a thesaurus. That will give you a lot of synonyms right away! :)
