How can you truly find out what your domain name is worth?

I think no only tool will tell you the exact prices . But you have too see that how old domain name is . How much you have developed it and is it keyword rich ...

Check the value for lottery.net on Estibot.

It sold for $220,000 recently. Domains true value depends on what the end user is willing to pay. Estibot gives no value to brandable 4 character & 5 character domain. But those domains still sell for $x,xxx range.

    One that I like is:

    http://urlappraisal.net/

Of course, you have to take any of those appraisals with a grain of salt. Ultimately, it is worth what your customer is willing to pay. One way to get an idea, though, is to check a couple of different sources and average them.

    Good Luck!

I'd never pay that amount of money for a domain. Instead of buying lottery.net for $220,000.00 I would by a domain for $50 like luckypadd.com (it's available) and use the $20,000 to make a really, really great site. The rest 200,000 I'd invest in marketing. I bet I'd have much better site in 1 year than my competition.
