    Hi
Looking to do some clickbank promotion with adwords ( risky I know)
So I made a list of relevant keywords , now I want to know how many searches were performed for these keywords in google.

the google keyword tools does show the global/local monthly searches , but it modifies my keywords (giving its own suggestions), so I am not able to get an estimate of no of searches for my keyword list.

what else can I do ?

    Thanks

ok market samurai works. it shows the number of searches for a list of keywords.
But how accurate is it ? for a number of my keywords it shows 0 searches.
    Some of the keywords are:
are these terrible keywords ? that will get 0 searches ?

Yes, they are awful keywords - they are barely searched for longtails that won't get you any traffic.
Go back to the adwords tool - set it to show exact matches only - now download the csv of the suggestions it was giving you and pick some keywords that have some search volume

No, they're not better, they're easier to get to a reasonable position on serps for (and in some cases may target people further along the buying chain)
But they still need to have some search volume. If you target a keyword that gets searched for twice a month - well done - you may get 2 visitors. Whoopee! 24 visitors a year. Target 1000 of them, and you could get 2000 visitors a month - (actually. it's more realistic to say you'll get around 35% of that).
But if you target 200,000 keywords that never get searched for - you are still not going to get any traffic.

The two main thinks you should look at are:
    - Number of searches
    - Number and sthength of competitors

Long tail keyword tend to drive more targeted traffic. But all depends on the niche.
Get a keyword tool, place your main keyword and let it suggest you more lingtail keywords. Analyze competition and number of searches.
A pretty good free tool is the one in SEObook.com

I agree with Wechito. Those are the 2 key factors and you really need to be using a good keyword and phrase ID tool. The Google KW tool just doesn't give you everything that a Market Samurai or Micro Niche Finder (among others) will return.

The bottom line is: Are people looking for the search terms you're using? & How tough is it going to be to get those people to your site? (How tough is the competition?)

I might add that a high number of competitors doesn't necessarily kill a niche, until you see what kinds of sites you're competing with. If they are older, well-established sites, it's tough. But if you've got a bunch of low-grade, spammy sites, you can find a lot of ways to dominate the niche.
