    Is there a tool out there that will scan a site for a link to your own site?

    This site is sending me some traffic and I want to see where they linked to me:
    http://winentrance.com/

    The site is so large I can't find it.

    Hi,

    Don't you see that page that's sending the traffic in your stats program.

    There are some good programs for this but most have to be payed for.

    If you have access to your AWStats config file, you can change the URLReferrerWithQuery directive (default=0, query not included):

    URLReferrerWithQuery=1

    Then, you get the complete URL in your list of referrers and the problem is gone.

    maybe I'm missing something, but you can do a search for backlinks using advanced search on google or yahoo (or MSN?). For example, for google, go to advanced search, and choose "pages that link to the site [your site]"
    or you can just type
    link: http://www.yoursite.com

    Good point, but there is a better way to find the sites linked to you in one site only.

    gatzgoter,

    that is a good tool but you need to know the sub-url for it to work.
    you cannot use www.domain.com . you must know the interior page like "www.domain.com/resources.html"
