Ok so lets say someone gets a really great idea for a website. The problem this person might have is that to create the website would probably cost in excess of $30,000. The site would undoubtably be purchased by a top networking site (ie myspace, match.com, etc.) once full functional and a medium size user base. The site is would be setup on the premise of being free for everyone, and eventually be monetized with adsense and/or other forms of advertising. But my question is: Is there an online site where people with ideas seek investors and also where potential investors seek people with new ideas? I have come across this site here: http://www.fundingpost.com Has anyone heard of them by chance? Thanks all, these are questions I have been asking myself in the event I ever think up a really good idea Travis
I would say I go about this the same way for offline. Goto the local library and do that, or government grants?
I dunno about all that. I have been calling many venture capital organizations and they are all saying they only deal with existing companies that are already established... asking for tax returns and income statments. Same with government grants I have learned so far. I'm looking for investors in online ideas that then turn into very profitable websites almost over night. I don't think the library has info on new age investors like that. Sites like facebook and things like that, how they got started.
