    Are you asking how you can tell if they are a reseller? Your question is a little unclear...

    Basically, hes got the URL for someones website - he knows who is hosting that website - but wants to know which particular hosting package they have got.

    There really is no way to tell, you've just got to get the host to tell you.

    There is no way to find out, the only way to find out is via asking the Web Host or the person being hosted.

    Not quite sure why you'd need to know it anyway.

    I have a forum in foriegn language in which we right in our language save it as GIF or JPG and post it as thread (as image, so a thread having three initial posts will be basically three images.......replies are in english ) which means loadsssss of images. At the moment we have around 40,000 threads so consider it and we have around 22000 members..................at peak time we get 400 users online and not only bandwith is crashing but server doesn't help we have changed several servers.

    Now this guy who's info i want has same type of forum a bit more trafic then us more users and more number of threads and his forum is never down from years he is using same hosting from the planet but don't know wat package.

    I am not here to ask about hosting caz i have tried many and am paying around 120$ per month monthly and don't want to pay more than that. Many people ask to try their server for less or same price but all servers go down at peak time. I want to see what package he is using and how come he is stable is he using any technique or what?

    I'm sure if you asked nicely enough you would get you information you wanted. Why not just try.

    Why Not :confused: I don't think anyone in online biz will not tell which server he is using.

    @OP
    If you know the server is from ThePlanet and you also have one there, the difference is configuration. Lift your budget and go for a better config than current one depending on the cause of your site's crash(CPU, Memory). It can also be something related to s/w, very less chances though.

    Ask your server management to analyze the situation and upgrade, the only way :D
