Bare with me as I'm a beginner at this stuff! I am in the process of developing content for my site which I believe has the potential to really take off (found an AWESOME domain name, by sheer luck). Anyways, I am going to start joining forums that relate to my niche and become an active member. When it comes time for my site to launch, I want to use these sites' forums as backlinks. My question is: How do I tell whether or not a forum is dofollow or nofollow? I don't want to spend time posting messages to develop my account on these forums if they will hurt the PR of my site after it's launch. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!
I use SearchStatus to check if a forum accepts nofollow or dofollow links. It is a very good plug-in.
hi there. the easiest solution is to get firefox and then install an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687 then w/ one click you can see what links are do follow and no follow.
