Can anyone recommend a good website or software where you can find expired (or expiring) domains with traffic?

Assuming you have to pay for this kind of information?

    Cheers

It can be very difficult to know for sure if an expired domain has traffic. You can predict it based on link popularity, page rank and Alexa ranking. www.FilteredDomains.com emails you a list of expired domains that are available daily.

If only we could we'd all be rich...

You can find some decent expired domains from various websites, but whether they have traffic or not is another question. You have to use your own judgement - think of a few niche keywords, find some expired domains and run a link checking script across Google Yahoo & MSN, see if the site was indexed in archive.org, etc.

If you can find generic domains that may get 'type-in' traffic - ie where people just type in the word and slap '.com' on the end of it, snap them up!

Thanks for the replies guys, dopedomains looks pretty good.

I was also thinking I could use a free website that provides daily lists then use droppal.com/ to upload the list and provide the traffic data.

Also, recycled-traffic.com looks ok, you can see a screenprint of the info they provide here:

    http://www.recycled-traffic.com/newaccount.jsp

However they charge $50 per month or $200 per year which is quite a lot of money if the information turns out to be crap.

Anyone used either of these sites and give feedback?
