Hi, I'm researching a new business idea in the digital marketing space and it's important to my business planning that I understand the kind of costs brands are typically paying per new customer acquisition through platforms like Google AdWords, as well as the typical Lifetime Value businesses in various sectors can expect from those new customers. In an ideal world I'd like to know average CPA and CLV by sector as well as the range of CPA costs that different companies pay although I know that will have to be approximate. Does anyone know of any published research or other resource that could provide me with these kind of figures or could anyone recommend a way that I could go about finding them? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. NB By CPA I mean the total cost per new customer sale, not cost per click, not ad click through rate or onsite conversion rate but total money spent per new customer acquired. NB I'm aware that there is a great deal of variability between businesses of different sizes, brand strengths, awareness levels, Google quality scores etc etc but I'm just after either an average figure on an intelligent approximation.
