I recently signed up at clickbank to sell my ebook. I was just wondering ... if clickbank will do all of it?

I am quite new to clickbank and I was just wondering what all can I do to make affiliates sell my products.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

You may be disappointed like me. I too had launched a product- a private label rights collection- which I felt as the greatest of that kind...But I have been dejected so far.

If you think, just by joining and getting listed in the market place and having rated within top ten in a particular category, would bring you a fare amount of affiliates and sales...well, then the answer is a "No".

It doesn't mean that Click bank is not a lucrative market place. It is...

The point is that you still have to work hard to get JV partners and super affiliates ...just like in any marketing campaign.

    Hello ramanladhani,
You know that your product ( ebook ) is very good.
But your target customers and affiliates should also know that.
So, you need to advertise your ebook and make it known.
Try to give your ebook more publicity through online / offline promotion

    All the Best

Ways to get affiliates to promote your product are to pay them high percentage from the start to give it the initial boost. Clickbank allows you to give up to 75% of your profits to affiliates.

Secondly, offer a contest to entice a flurry of activity from your affiliates.

Third, give your affiliates lots of promotional material to work with such as articles, ezine ads, graphics, content, reviews.

Next you will have to find your affiliates by submitting your program to affiliate directories, finding sites which are ranked high in the search engines and contacting those site owners to plug your product.

Those are some ideas to help you get started...

    Good points netliving.

Clickbank is just the middleman in the process. Not the salesman. You still have to promote your e-book to end users and affiliates.

What you can do is e-mail people who run sites that are compatible with your e-book's topic. Give them a quick one paragraph description of your e-book, your commission rate, and instructions on signing up for your affiliate program. Be sure to personalize each e-mail so that it doesn't look like a form letter.

Write a few promotional articles based on your e-book's topic and submit them to ezinearticles.com. One per week, or one every other week.

Use Adwords to generate some traffic.

I always think it's better for the author to promote a new e-book before he hands it over to affiliates. This way you can get an idea of what your conversion ratio is, whether you need to tweak the salesletter, tweak the e-book, etc.

If affiliates begin promoting it, and they get don't any sales (or a bunch of refunds), they're going to drop it like a bad habit. Then you'll a much harder time convincing them to promote your next title.

On the other hand, if the product already has proven itself in the marketplace, and affiliates are doing well with it, they'll happily promote anything you publish.

You pay your dues in the beginning. But the end results can be very delicious and very long-lasting.

    Good luck!

Also, your product should convert well. Try PPC to know your conversion rate. If you can't sell the product, you can't expect affiliates to sell it :)

Well these are really helpful advice.

    Here's my startegy
As my product brings in additional traffic to websites (legally) with just 1 hour of work. I have started a website to highlight the best points without reveling whats in the ebook. I am currently targeting people who work hard to get traffic to their websites. As of now my success rate has be ok-ok... I have just made 4 sales in 4 days.

I am most confused about the pricing. What price should I keep for my ebook. Right now its priced at $5.95 which is very low. I just kept this price so that I can get instant sales. [don't think much just buy it]

Please advice me if you find any problems with strategy.

    Thanks in advance.

You're not going to attract any affiliates with a price tag of $5.95.

People may be buying your product at $5.95, and that's great. But since you want affiliates to help you, you have to raise the price, and sell it at that price for a while. This way you get a true indication of whether affiliates will be able to sell it.

I can't really say what your price should be since I haven't actually seen your e-book.

There is a big difference between giving theoretical advice and doing them practically. I had kept the price as $67 (fare deal) and the commission as 75%. But it did n't click as expected!
