Hi all. I'm in a bind trying to find an alternative to use the profile Twitter widget provided by Twitter on the client's website. I'm currently using HTML table based layout for the time being until I upgrade it to full CSS layout which is in the works but not right away. I'm not using any blogware so it's not blog based website. This widget set up causes the Internet Explorer to generate "Operation Aborted" error when opening the website. I did my research on trying to troubleshoot this issue and traced it to the Twitter widget. I don't know why it is causing the IE to crash and, according to my research, Twitter widget javascript script behaves funny if it's placed inside a table cell and if it's not placed before end body tag. I tried to use div container tags but to no avail. I couldn't find another better widget than this one that won't cause IE to crash. Any suggestions?
I can't do this due to confidentiality reason and there're a lot of stuff happening on the front page. I did remove the Twitter widget code and tested the front page. There was no "Operation Aborted" error in IE. And the specific error said: "Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0) Timestamp: Fri, 19 Mar 2010 00:03:57 UTC Message: HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917) Line: 0 Char: 0 Code: 0 URI: http://www.xxxxx.xxx/"
