while doing some research online, I came across a product that I want to promote. They have no affiliate page, I can't find them in the marketplace and their domain registration is private. Any ideas?
It is clickbank and you would think it would be easy to find the pub id. However, i can not. Which is why I posted the question.
If there is absolutely no way to find the publisher ID, go to the order page and open the source code. You should see something like <!-- vs: pub ID -->, where pub ID is what you want. Enjoy, nadavs
There are some reasons why they may not be found in the marketplace: 1. New product that isn't launched yet 2. Old product that is no longer active There may be other reasons as well - but I would definitely try and figure out if the product was still valid for clickbank... maybe contacting the owner by email as well (if they are selling something, they should have some email contact listed and if you receive no response from it, that may indicate a lack of customer support etc).
Try as nadavs said, or there is another more difficult way. When you click on the order button, look at the left bottom corner. There will be many links changing quickly. If you are fast enough you will see the publisher ID I usually do that, if I can't find the ID in the marketplace.
Yeah just hold your mouse over the order button and it should be something like http://1.pubID.pay.clickbank.net or something like that.
Obviously not in this case or I wouldn't be posting this thread. Thank you to all who took the time to actually post an idea. I have looked at source page everything is coded in php and there is no affiliated id to find. I have also tried the looking the bottom of the browser to try and catch the pub id. I have a good deal of clickbank/affiliate marketing knowledge so I have tried every obvious solution. I was just wondering if anyone knew a trick that I hadn't thought of. My guess is that it is a new item in testing stage. Thanks.
If a product is not listed in the marketplace then it is not being sold through clickbank. I would not want to spend my money promoting such a product. It is your decision of course
dominiac - my solution always works, whether the order link is coded in php, asp, cgi, perl, or any programming language you can think of. The order page of ClickBank if universal, and it's not coded in php. nadavs
Not really mate, I am promoting a few products and for some reasons they are not listed in the CB market place.
Actually, I have seen a couple of those myself but it always puzzled me why clickbank is not tracking those products in the marketplace... Still, I'd be very careful spending my money on such a product.
I do not know why they are not listed in CB market place but I do believe that someone gave that answer a few months ago but I couldn't find it. I also sent a ticket to CB support about this matter, so if they give me an answer I will post it here. Yes, you have to be careful with all the CB products not only the ones that are not listed in their market place. This is why I always search my niche before I attack it.
Guys, I sent a message to CB about the products that are not listed in their market place couple days ago, and this is what I got from them today. So guys, I hope that everything is clear now about this matter. Mega
