No learning is required (initially) actually... If I remember correctly Amazon terminates your Associateship after about 24 hours after sign-up if you have not placed your Associate ID anywhere on a website... My suggestion would be thus: Sign up with Amazon.com as an Associate here Then move on straight a create an aStore where you can learn the ins and outs of Amazon products and their products category system. Use your Associate ID as the first store URL. You'll have your first Amazon Associate store up and running in about an hour (or less). Now that should be good learning. Next, If you have your own traffic-heavy website then start looking at product links to embed on your website. The learning here is on product selection & placement on your website, Product Preview, Omakase... Then, Move on to ASM2, Associate-o-Matic, MrRat or a couple of others (you can Google these easily) to learn how to built your own store which you can later add on to your websites or let it run as a stand-alone. Personally I would to introduce you to Squidoo, something nice to add to your income revenue (you'll be sharing it 50/50 with Squidoo).
