I'm thinking about hireing 1/some writers for a new site. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just go to somewhere like ezine articles, find articles that I like and then contact the author directly about writing for me. Is this a common practice? I realize they would probably be my competition but theres no harm in asking. Its a specialized niche so this would be an easy way to find out if the authors know what their talking about.
It can't hurt and would provide an education for you if nothing else. I have written unique articles for other websites for merely a link back. If you are willing to pay you may find some takers.
That is true, you can always write your own articles, but there are many writers ready to take the challenge whether for money, link back, posting exchange, etc.
In fact, there are many on this board who might be able to help. I have written quite a few articles for webmasters on DP. If you are interested in discussing your project, please PM or send an email via . Please see my website in my signature and iTrader for references. Thanks! Rebecca
I think articles on the free article sites are put up there for promoting a website or product. Because of this you probably won't find many people willing to write for you since you would be competing against them, since its the same niche. Your better off finding a writer here or using a site like Constant-Content to find a writer.
