Financial system, any recommendations?

    Hi,

I'm beginning to loose track of my income/expenses, so I guess I need something better than the spreadsheets I'm currently using.

Can anyone recommend a good financial system for Windows?

    I need to:
    - track my income (multiple sources)
    - track my expenses
    - track if I have received my money or not.

    Thanks a lot,
    Mads

Looks good, thanks a lot, but I'm looking for a system for my business, not my personal finances.

Quickbooks can't be beat! It's a little more pricey than the Intuit software, but as your business grows, you'll like the additional tools. If you are a contracted employee without tons of various expenses, that Intuit software might be a good choice. If you get Quickbooks... get a "Quickbooks For Dummies" or similar manual.

To be more precise according to Your needs, You need an accounting system. It's always extremely essential to distinguish accounting from finance. Check freeaccountingsoftware.net You can find useful applications there.

Er, I happen to be the author of QuickBooks for Dummies... so maybe I'm not objective.

But I think you should go with something like QuickBooks. It'll let you determine your income, deductions, etc. Note, too, that online payment processing systems like PayPal are really good about "playing" with QuickBooks.
For my ecommerce sites (see sigs below) I just download the PayPal data to a little file and then import into QuickBooks. Bip. Bap. Boom.

Hey. One other comment... If you're operating in the US (located in US) you're required by law to have a decent accounting system so you can clearly report your income.

    Good luck.
