Lol. They PR for Yahoo always fluctuates from a PR 7 to a 10. I have a yahoo account and always see the bar moving weekly. But like it was said earlier, I don't think Yahoo really cares. Umm ok and a why not? There are plenty of benefits to yahoo. Trust me Google is not always the ultimate SE God. They are only talked about so often for the things they do for shock value to bring in more traffic. 1. Matt Cutts snitch on paid links program 2. gmail.pl and a few other domains they did not get their hands on. 3 Google buying out YouTube. Yahoo stands alone without having to make such annoucements etc.
I know a lot of us don't care about alexa or google ranking. We just like to average it out and see where we stand.
And Apple lost their PR10 status dropping to a PR9. Before this last PR update, they had several pages that were PR10 so I was surprised to see all of apples PR10 pages dropping to 9.
I think that PR algorithm is changed from time to time and more criteria are taken into consideration since I have seen some well known pages changing the PR to a lower value, I think it is due to algorithm change and not due to loosing links
What a strange statement. Yahoo is very much a late comer to the search arena. Yahoo did not become a search engine until 2003/2004. Before that, it was an Internet Directory (something quite different). The first search engines were things like Lycos, in 93-94. Google search far predates Yahoo search. In fact, from 2000-2004 Yahoo used Google to deliver search results.
It makes a person wonder what it takes to get a PR10? Maybe th big companies like Yahoo don't care about page rank, but the entreprenuers on the web certainly do.
this was definately a 10 since years ago but for some reason google didnt give them it...good to know they finally got 10
