now I know this isn't a huge deal... but was wondering how much change there is with MSN (and the other se's) once you are ranked ... basiclly what I mean is am I at the top because my page was just indexed? or is it because of the seo factors I have put into effect? I know I have to constantly work on the site etc... but was just wondering if it is just a fluke that I am up so high... or if I actually have a small victory to celebrate you should have saw me when I saw my rank on google at #35 (which is still no mans land) for a sub- main keyword... even my 2 year old was pointing at my computer and saying "there it is!" after he saw me get so excited over it. I know its kinda sad who knew I'd turn into such a computer geek!? *sigh*
I never usually see huge fluctuations in rankings once you are ranked in MSN. Sometimes wierd stuff happens and you drop off the charts for a few days, only to usually return where you were last ranked, or thereabouts.
I never get a lot of traffic from MSN. Even tho I rank first on MSN for some good competitive keywords
Hello... Hi Melissa.... In my eyes you should be proud many dont and never will get anywhere near the top of any search engine. Many will give up and quit trying ,dont let it get to you,it took me 3 months If you constanly add a bit of content as well as optimize your pages to the fullest extent you will reach the top of google trust me on this. I use 2 tools that will get you there. I use WebCeo and also www.widexl.c omthis combination has allowed me to reach 1st and 2nd place in google and front pages on most search engines. If you target your keywords you will reach the top. Try this one in your google box "Proven income" and thats just 1 keyword, there are 19 more. Hope this info was helpful to you Thanks Malcolm BIZ-GIANT.com
You should be able to maintain your position fairly easily, assuming you don't change your META tags, content, or directory/file structure. I've had fairly consistent rankings on MSN for quite some time. Congrats!
Yahoo is another very good one and find it easier to get ranked high. I find that one rank will help you build more in other engines...it just takes some time.
