    Newbie here...:)

I've been having similar patterns with CJ, now I have locked and extended commission due?

Wonder if I will ever see the bucks.

In you oppinion how do you rate CJ in relation to others...and advice on who else you would recommend?

    Cheers...

CJ is my favorite of the big programs. I also deal with independents-- search out other merchants in your niches and see if they have their own affiliate programs or convince them to add one to their shopping cart system.

Locked commissions = going to get paid
Extended commissions = merchant is making sure the sale is final, you'll get paid next month

I am new to affiliate marketing, and my site was only launched in early March. CJ was the first network I joined, and after about 6000 clicks my commission was upto £874. However, that disappeared two days later, the explanation given was the orders were "duplicated"

Am I being ripped off by somebody? I have sent mails but got no reply or explanation to date. I'm sure this is not CJ's fault, but something to do with the merchant. Any other experiences of this kind?

Stories like this of scamming merchants are all too common. Feel free to name names so other people can say if they had similar experiences with them or if they've ever gotten paid. The best thing you can do is find a merchant who pays on time and pays well-- then promote the heck out of them.

CJ support is pathetic these days, I'll agree with that.

Odd, I've never had a problem with either support or communication with CJ.

For minor stuff-- adding feeds or something-- sure. However, I've been stonewalled for about 3 weeks with a particular problem though... phone calls, emails, etc.. nothing helps. I'm not a CJ performer yet, but I am a fairly good earner (5 bars)... and still no real help. I'm actually trying to make them more money by bringing on a merchant, too.

Yea off and on slowness this morning; it is "that time" of the month, so it is forgiveable.

I bailed once they started up with those javascript links. My CJ conversion rates were always piss poor but once they started restricting anchor text like that it became too much.

I'm doing better with a few other affiliate vendors but I hope to come back to CJ eventually.

I've gotten sales in the past with CJ but I abandoned them several months ago. Am I still in danger of having my account closed even though I did have some sales at one point?
