I checked some of my keywords today on google and I was on first page for some of them. However the more competitive ones are not showing up yet so I can tell the andbox definately exists. My site went online on 18th of march so thats 3months short 6 days. I bought the domain name a couple of days before that so I am not sure which one they used. A search for my domain name now brings up a lot more than just the homepage.
So for those still in the box be patient and wait for three months.

Just one question do they withold your ranking for some of the very competitive keywords?

I think you're still in the sandbox and will be for quite a while for your competative terms.

Perhaps your site has just now been fully indexed so you are showing up for the lesser searched for terms.

It doesn't sound like there is any evidence to suggest your site is out of the sandbox.

I think you are right and just checked. My most competitive keywords are nowhere in sight. However the ones that are not competitive at all are almost all on the first page.
When then will they lift the filter or release these keywords as they are now sure my site is not a spam site.

The sandbox doesn't apply to all words (according to Goggle's Matt Cutts) and in my experience, only competitive keywords are subject to the sandbox. How long can vary between sectors, but a minimum of 3 months to perhaps a year.

I think with this information, I still have about a month to go.
I have a lot of competitive keywords so it could take a while longer.

I think I am still there. I did a complete check yesterday and the keywords they released were the least important ones. Not a single one of the competitive ones is showing up. So I am destined to be there a while longer

So would everyone agree that 3 months is the minimum and top limit is a year?

A year is certainly not the limit. It could extend up to 16 months and there is the possibility that you may never come out.

    Hello...

I would have to say the same as "Gadood" but to the extent that your not fully out the box until your site is listed somewhere for every search keyword you are using. As you probably know google does this on purpose so as not to allow hit and runners from scamming people, and making millions in weeks and then just discarding the domain and trying with another.

You will not be fully out until you have established some time on the internet.
If you use google sitemaps this will show you how many of your search terms are making the list as they "slowly" take filters off you.

You should expect 1 to 1 1/2 years to be fully out the "BOX"

But congrats on your your achievements!

    thank you
    malcolm
