After living in the rural part of Northern New York for six years and trying everything to get High Speed Internet service, I got the call today.
DSL High Speed is now available for my house! :)

I lived for 15 years in a rural area in South Carolina and could not get it there either. I have been on the slowest dial-up in the world at the highest speed of 26K. I am so excited and I can't wait. Doing websites have been a bitch because it takes forever to upload and download anything. I am expected to be set up March 20th but I am still a wee bit cautious until I am up and running.

It is like my Birthday and Christmas all wrapped in one! :D

Well put it this way, a 23 MB file takes 7 hours to download if the Internet does not kick off first. My fastest speed at anytime has been 26 Kbps most days it is 19-24 Kbps.

DSL is a must..but it is like bare minimum nowadays. I really want to get FIOS..

I feel happy for you, surfing in dial up is painful

I also used to surf from dial-up and it was a heck.
I have a broadband right now which is cool and fast enough for me.

    regards
