I don't like sushi but this is still a very nice site. The photos are great too. Personally I would remove that link in the blogroll
Wont like it, but dump the blog! Build up an interactive site, with maybe a sushi flash tool to make sushi by selecting items(would be cool, and help build links), then offer a well categorized and searchable database of them recipes.
You should have an opt in box, where people can subscribe and receive weekly info. Inside that weekly info pack include sushi related affiliate links. That is just one thought for a way to monetize your site.
