Yup. I've been using Paintshop Pro for many, many years. 2000? 2001? And finally am switching to Photoshop. I've downloaded the CS4 extended trial and if I can get used to it, will buy a license, otherwise will return to PSP. Anyone else recently start using photoshop? Can any name any good tutorials for people with graphic experience, but no photoshop experience? Thanks, Keith
Well my favorite PSD Tut's site that I just recently found is psdtuts.com ...but I'm not sure if they are for beginners.. Definately googling Photoshop Beginner Tutorials will find some results. Good-Tutorials.com is another good tutorial site. Good luck!
Congratulations. Check out these sites for tutorials : "http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/03/10/web-20-tutorials-round-up/" "http://www.tutorialguide.net/design/adobe_photoshop/" "http://www.newtutorials.com/ice-blast-text-in-photoshop-tutorial.htm" "http://www.photoshoproadmap.com/Photoshop-blog/2007/07/22/the-best-80-photoshop-text-effects-on-the-web/" There are many more just make a search Hope it will help.
Even if you hate the experience of Photoshop please stick with it. Promise me you will never go back to PSP... please... :/ I'd suggest you go to good-tutorials.com, pixel2life.com, psdtuts.com and tutorialized.com and try to get a feel for the program. Hope you have fun buddy!
Haha! I know photoshop is the industry standard, but I've been using PSP for so long that I know how to do everything with it... Photoshop is wayyyy different. It took me like 3 minutes to figure out how to make a rounded-rectangle, haha...
You've been using Paint Shop Pro for two thousand years! wow, it is time to update a little bit! I have and love Photoshop, but lets not forget about the great product Corel also has, and for less money. If I was in the market for only Photoshop and not the entire Creative Suite (which I need Illustrator and Indesign from as well) I would SERISOUSLY be doing some feature shopping between Corels product line and Adobe's. The two are both excellent products, but I have a feeling you might get more bang for your buck from Corel if you only need photo editing. Please do take a look.
