Add your link in your signature of all forums you visit and contribute, its an excellent method for getting easy backlinks. PS. Site look great, congratulations.
yeah its my first site- I didnt think it looked good- still needs work- but thank you guys! Ill take negative opinions too it doesnt bother me as long as i know why and can fix it
i can bearly call that a site. it has no limitations, it's more like a wordpad or msord document. you use a lot of deprecated stuff, and a transitional doctype. try switching to a strict doctype, but not in XHTML, leave it HTML 4.01. also try to learn what semantic means, now that you basicly know what html means. basicly, use tables for tabular data, divs for sections/divisions, lists for lists, etc. also try to validate your site, the html and the css too. keeping in mind that it's your first site, it's pretty good. has your code been generated by some html generator? because there are some things that lead me to believe that.
Congratulations for your first effort. This site needs more improvements though. Try to make your fonts in consistence size, it increases readability and makes your visitor stay longer. Good luck
Thanks for the feedback guys- I used NVU which even though im a noob I quickly began to hate the program- I kept having problems with my images and %20's getting added to the filenames in NVU - I had to transfer files to dreamweaver and clean them up a bit- I need to learn css cause it sucked having to go to every page and add links manually, I think my next site im gonna build off a template in DW untill i pick up css and other things besides html. For now i really need to get some backlinks and at least page rank 3 then ill redesign the site as i have other projects i want to start. oh yeah - If i put my sites address in my signature of all the forums i use - is that actually just like them backlinking to me? I mean will google think they are backlinks and can i get pagerank doing this?
Here are some suggestions for obtaining backlinks Submit your site to some web directories - you will find many of them here in the forum. Write articles and submit them to directories (this is more for helping with traffic than with PR, but it still helps a lot) Add links to your site to your signature.
