Digg is a bunch of crap.

You make a nice page and get quotes like this:

That, plus no money! Screw them!

When ever I get comments like this, I just push it aside and forget about it the next few minutes after. No matter what online business you are in or how professional your site looks, you will always get a few bad comments. Everybody has different tastes.

Also, another thing is that the bad comments are more likely to be from kids or younsters who have not even got a site and have no job or something.

At least you have a site and are trying to make something out of your life. That is how I see it.

Digg-ers, in particular, leave snotty comments.

They feel the need to comment negatively both on Digg and on your website.

Most of the reason I hate Digg is because of their users ;)

Yes, I had the same problem, when your site is dugg you get massive amounts of traffic but very little click throughs...Like somebody else said tho, its worth it just for the backlinks, they came in their thousands!

Change your URL style to static instead of dynamic. It will help SEO greatly.

(instead of p=1234 you will get /catagory-name/article-name/)

There is no downside to this.

digg users don't tend to click a lot of ads, and they don't come back later unless you make them bookmark the site, or get them to come back using another method

Put up something to capture emails. You can always market to a list.

WEll the stats for today are not discouraging at all.Todays totla no fo visitors till now: 18000 and counting....
note to be taken is : yesterdays major traffic source were from Digg and del.icio.us while today thier contribution is merely 30-40 %
Today my site is being featured in stumbleupon, meneame, pathfinder , a japanese site and other sites similar to digg or getting feed from digg.

wowo... very nice nice man! with 10000 people, i think u can just sell links at the DP link sell part. You may get quite good return, if adsense doesn't workout for u.'

That is what Digg is for, to create backlinks. Digg does not convert but it helps by making your site a brand.

what i believe is you should change the ad format and the placement . you managed a nice number of traffic * though it helped with backlinks / retuning visitors hopefully * ... but you should have made some bucks aswell if ads were placed in a better way . Blend them in middle of the txt . Ill prefer removing that Naukri image ad and inclding the ads in a better way .
Also the ads on left .. i dont think anyone gonna click there . Meanwhile good luck with the site :) :)
