That's right! Finally, Google has opened up on mobile SEO practices and offered certain recommendations on the same. Pierre Far, Google Webmaster Trends Analyst, recently announced certain guidelines based on which mobile SEO could be carried out for websites. By reading the complete blog one can easily make out that Google is stressing on the use of responsive web design that work well with all types of devices or to go for device specific HTML. Google earlier was adapting a watchful approach over mobile websites after which it released a new mobile user agent names as Googlebot-Mobile Smartphones.

Sticking to a responsive website design, Google has mentioned three different configurations that a firm should consider while going mobile. Take a look at the three recommendations that Google has suggested for a Smart phone mobile site design:

Google recommends the use of CSS only to change the way a web page is rendered on a device. This is Google's recommendation for responsive web designs.

Google also recommends a dynamic website that can serve all types of devices with the same set of URLs. However, every set of URL will be serving an HTML code depending on the type of device.

The third recommendation that Google suggests is of having a separate mobile and a desktop website to avoid hassle.

Throughout the information mentioned in the Google webmaster's blog, the firm has focused on the use of responsive website design. However, if anybody is using a dynamic configuration then, Google suggests the use of vary HTTP header. HTTP header informs Google that the website content and CSS may change as per the user's device. Do you think these recommendations will prove to be a relief for those who are still confused with mobile website? Or having a separate mobile website is the only key to success?

    Cheers
