Just attended affiliate summit back east and sat in on the google slap presentation. This has been going on for over a year now and has come about due to the get rich quick schemes and recurring billing model affiliates were pushing. Unfortunately through all the research I have been doing, google is still learning and up until now has lumped a lot of "clean" affiliates into the same mix without true account reviews. Another thing that became apparent from this presentation is that false claims amongst other items are getting focus, which is good/fine.... however.... what is most scary is that individual reviewers have the authority to decide what is right and not right, depsite the fact that they may have very little or no knowledge on the subject matter. In essence, Google is becoming a better business bureau with it's employees making uneducated decisions that impact not only advertisers but the so called surfer whom they are trying to deliver relevant and unique ads to. Very interesting if nothing else.
ROFL. Google has been cracking down on one thing or another for a long time but affiliates always find a way around.
lmao!!!!!!! Yea your right is called black hat techniques... Pm i can show you a few!!!! Lmao... But of course valuable info always has a price.... Tootles...
they will find away around it and then google will make another program and this happenes over and over and over pretty much forever
So you mean to say. We cannot promote affiliate product itself or we can promote affiliate product but with unique custom build landing page template right
It's not affiliate sites that they're against. It's sites that say "Make $1,000,000 in 5 minutes work per day!" Then those sites show a bunch of photoshopped stats images. It's scammy crap like that which is the target.
First person with red rep i have ever seen. Crazy spammers with bad english Grunt is not the username So many newbies that should know at least how to write properly. As per the google tos is concerned google does not like affiliates and they would supress the rise of duplicate affiliate pages promoting the same product. But that is not the end for all us affiliates.Just make a unique landing page with a good content and test the conversion rates.I hope it will work
Google is pretty amazing and they similar to Apple with their reluctance for others to discredit their products so this is not so surprising. But I will check out their TOS...and I also think Google is smart for pulling the plug on these affiliate sites who do have frivolous claims of thousands of dollars in minutes using Adsense or what ever else they claim will work because it mitigates potential lawsuits or fines for Google.
it's an evolutionary war going on. Google can never win it, because they are up against the rest of the world.
yes! but they made a fortune until they have been toasted and now they have the resources to start a new trick!
