Very good advice Mark. The niche is not important, the click value neither. What is important is the absolute value that you are making in ALL your sites.
Thanks for the heads up. Somebody gave me a very awesome piece of advice. He is also in the same niche and he tells me not to discuss this anywhere because otherwise the market could get saturated. And i'm still experimenting. I gave away my WHOLE yesterday to make links but got very little traffic. I managed to get 17 clicks generating $23. I think thats not half bad. I think people in this niche are VERY well educated and do not like to click ads. And ads are getting pretty irrelevant at times. I will post my screenshots of yesterday a little while later. I think other guys in this niche might be pretty worried if they found out that I've made this thread. Cheers
Nich that pays good is stocks/investment type sites. On pages that I have gotten clicks was in investments and stocks. Paid $1.73 about. Other top niches are pet food. Forex. Think of popular things the more popular the more people are bidding on adweords.
I AGREE 100%. Forex and Stocks pay very well in the beginning but i noticed a very big decline in my earnings in that niches. I have very good info that google does not let high paying advertisers go off the search engine a lot. They keep the less ones more. Thats why Google is way ahead of us right now
As I said in the PM, it is best not to reveal the site on this thread - but a generic niche is not too bad a thing to reveal (as in Health, Finance or Automotive = very generic and hard to pin down to a specific subset of that broad niche). Overall, even on general sites there is varying CPC income and it all boils down to one thing: ***** Relevant Traffic ****** If a visitor comes to your site and is an ideal candidate for the advertiser and they click on the ad in your site, you are likely to get a much higher CPC rate. I have had several clicks during my time in adsense that were between $1 - $2 CPC rate, although I did experience a click recently for $5.66 - my highest ever. I attribute that to the fact that it was someone who was an ideal candidate for the advertiser - with so much tracking available, it could have been a visitor from a specific state in the USA or even a specific town or city.
I will reveal a great niche I am working on : CARS, yeah you heard it, but not just cars, I optimized my keywords for : "buy cars", "rent cars" and "sell cars". The average CPC is 1$ but on the pages with "cars insurance" and "car accident" I get clicks up to 7$ !
