I finally did it? Joined the thousand a month earnings from adsense! However, it did take me 9 months to do it... but everything I did to get there I learnt here... thanks all for all your educated opinions and suggestions Fingers crossed my earning will continue to grow...
well done mate, I currently on $1 a day earning, I started on 24th of April 06, so hopefully I will join you in your club in about 9 months time lol
Well, did you start those sites from scratch? I'd be really interested in what you did besides the vague "thanks to this forum".
To answer all those pesky questions on how I did it... well I did spend a lot of time reading all the posts and the suggestions offered here for FREE... If I could not find the answer relevent to my specific site issues I posted my question here and usually got some great suggestions I created my site years before I knew about adsense so I already had two high traffic sites... but having traffic was not earning me very much at first. From here I learnt about blending ads - where to place ads (most important) to my site which features lot of images (of course) so it stood to reason to place ads next to my images But the greatest lesson learnt here was - less is more! If ads on a page did not do well over a 30 days period I delete them... the same for pages less visited.. I update my site on a bi-weekly bases... or sooner with a scoop news item. Now I'm off to see if I can make my next goal which is 1,500 a month... as I learnt long ago that there is no such thing as a quick buck... So head down - off to work on my sites...
Thats great! Reading posts like these definitely inspire me to keep going and not give up. How did you get so much traffic?
Traffic is easy: 1. Having a site with over 400 articles which I update almost daily 2. By offering a FREE subscriber's newsletter (now have 5 thousand subscribers) Newsletters go out on a monthly bases or sooner. 3. Offering Free ads to all (non-profit) Elvis Fan Clubs to post their updates and events 4. Optimising my keywords and meta tags to attract top google positioning 5. Offering advice to Elvis fans about buying on ebay for FREE 6. And it helps when you get to be in the top ten at google for 35 of your major keywords... (none are MFA - all are Elvis related) Take heart all... it can be done...
I'm approaching $800 for this month. I'm certain I will reach $1,000 next month due to the tips I learned from this site.
