Hello good people. Tell me please, what are you known filters of search engines? (regardless of the search engine). I have read several articles good, but we are all aware that the search algorithms for no one knows, or rather their credibility. I would like to hear opinions based on personal experience. Particularly interested in the question about the filter - "Too many backlinks." And this question: "How quickly updated PR?" And what does it mostly depends (other things being equal), if any, depends.
There's no filtering on the amount of backlinks. It is counter-logical. They said, however, there IS filtering of a kind, if some huge amount of links appear in a moment. It looks a bit suspicious, so it is usually recomended to gain the link mass steadily yet slowly. On the other hand, a new link filter (if it existed) would cut off news websites which tend to gain new links almost instantly and in enormous amounts. So I doubt such filter really exists, or at least it is not THAT strict. The green bar updates once per 2-3 months. The real PR updates appear more frequently; there are a number of tools all over the web that allow to track the next update once it happens. The PR depends on links, though Google may assign it even if you don't have any (that is - zero) backlinks. I guess it tracks the amount of visitors through Google Toolbar... Never faced with that myself though. Don't worry about PR too much anyway. It is merely one of the ranking factors.
Thanks for answers. You speak very accurately, correctly and in essence.
