filtering low paying keywords

this question was probably asked before, but... how illegal is it to filter he low paying ads? there are many online generators that offer to filter the low paying ads for your URL, but aint it against the TOS? i mean u r supposed to filter competitors, not low payers... plus, for example... i filtered the word "ecard" as low paying all the ads that bring one cent. since it was already the highest bid, the result will be that irrelevant ads will be displayed, no? and if yes, is there a point in it in the first place.

second part of my Q is, IF filtering low paying ads complies with the TOS, which website for it is best? i mean there are tons of them...
    thanks!

Filtering low paying ads is not against TOS. As per my knowledge, let me see what others say about it.

I read all they say in the TOS about the filter and don't find anything in particular that should prohibited, so i'd love to hear what others have to say about it.

If it was against TOS then why should Google have to put the option for filtering competitive ads?

Its because you have an option to filter out any ad you want. And Peoples filter low paying ads.

I used the same as above, and it did increase for a little while (could of been a fluke) But I would think that it would just bring lower paying ads that arent reported to those sites since the highest paying ones come up first right????. And how do we actually know they are? I know for the website above you can add a website and if it gets more than so many adds it will be on the list, so any competitor would be in a better position if they did that? Hmmm I think im rambling, but does it make a lil sense?

that is what i thought, if their bid is low, they wouldn't come up on teh site in the first place because the highest bid ad dis displayed in the first place... i really dont understand how do they get though

ok, i decided to give it a try, by the way, does anyone know if piboard4u.com is a low paying ad? i seem to have it on a several sites that have nothing in common (photoshop forum and web hosting related page) so i was wondering if its one of these spammy sites that close the door for other ads, does anyone know?

this is funny. You filter low paying ads but more low payings ads will come up. You can only filter 200. how many low paying ads are out there?

IF we filter those 200 we would get ride of them, thats better than filtering nothing :) i have a list of 100 sites in my filter list, and my click rates are changed from before

I try to filter out MFAs as much as possible. Those ads usually pay the least since they are banking on arbitraging AdWords to get the AdSense clicks. Use a third party tracker and you can see which ads get clicked on a lot and compare that with your AdSense stats. You can get an idea of how much those ads are paying and decide which URLs to filter out.

since i placed the filter i had 35 clicks and 1,98$... looks like i filtered the HIGH payig ads :D

will leave it one more day, if it keeps going downhills - blacklisting the adsblacklist...lol
