Filter Out Content Network Impress Data

    Hello,

I wonder if there is a way to separate the content network info from the Google search info. Say if I turn on both content network and get a lot of impression. When I go the "Ad Variations" tab, it shows the combined impression number for both the Google search and content network. I was hoping the separate the Google search info from content network so I know which ad has better CTR. Can't seem to find a way to filter out the content network info.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Best practice is not to have content and search in the same campaign.
have one for search, where you exclude content, and one for content, where you exclude search.
They are not the same animal - content uses keywords differently, also, you'll probably find it's better to write different ads - people surfing blogs and sites, and people specifically doing a search are 2 different 'audiences'

    I agree completely with Magda
But in the meantime to extract data in the way you say you can use the Reports tab in AdWords.
In the report centre create a new report, I'm presuming you are looking for advert data so choose an Ad Perfromance report. Under 3. Advanced Settings (Optional) choose Filter my results, from the drop down choose Ad Distribution and choose one of search or content - you will need to run a report for each distribution.

    Hope that helps.

The best way is to have separate campaigns for search and content but you don't need to hire someone to do that for you.

Always seperate campaigns. They're managed totally different so keeping them together is not a good idea.
