Filezilla Help Needed Please

    Have i dont this right?

    Im a newbie, I want to backup my website to my hard drive. So Ive done the usual stuff by entering the ftp details which has connected my site.

    Ive highlighted everything in my public directory on the right and dragged it to a folder in my local folder on the left.

    Have i dont this correct? will the files on the right(server files) be deleted after transfer?

    please advise

    Yes, you done it correctly. The files on your server will be copy only to your local folder.

    I was wondering if i had to instruct the ftp programme to backup by pressing a backup botton.

    so, in other words every time i copy and drag contents in the sever folder to the hard drive folder the server files wont get deleted. Will it always be there unless i delete purposely?

    yes, they will stay there on you server unless u manually press delete.
